Wow! This is truly awesome work. I love the amount of detail you put into this costume. :)

The painted shield in particular looks wonderful. I immediately recognized it as the symbol of Solitude. :D In addition, the tunic, chainmail sleeves, and wrap are all perfect. The helmet looks very good as well, but something seems a little wrong about the greaves on the boots.

As for the photo itself, great posing. I'm immediately reminded of the way characters stand if they stop on stairs. :P I half expect to hear "No lollygaggin'" or "I used to be an adventurer..."

All in all, excellent work. Perhaps with just a change in shield and wrap you could cosplay as a guard from another region, or maybe even a Stormcloak! :D

this is epic and i love it it has a great design and a sense of epic-ness to it i would love to have it but i cant (im not begging) and its just plain old good but the helmet seems to tall and that is all that is i say its just amazing one of the best guard cosplays i have see and the critique thing is making me put more words but thats really all i have its still epic and cool there should be more pictures of this and more cosplays and ya

what and how did you make the helmet?

:3 im trying to get a whiterun guard outfit going.... the helmet seems like its going to be one of the hardest parts :/

I used a giant easter egg as a base, the rest
is made out of foam board and lots of glue : )

did you make the helmet if so where did you find the base? i am also making a hold guard costume bu cannot find that style of helmet without horns and relatively cheap
